Complete Premier League Coverage Weeks 9 and 10
Drillers Continue to Slide
The Reidi Drillers started the first quarter of the season hot, making their presence known atop the table. But that momentum has slowed down a bit, and now the Drillers find themselves back in the pack, three games back of qualifying for the Colonial Cup. The catalyst of the most recent back slide was losing 3 of 4 to the Fateu Blaze in week 9.
Bulls Team to Watch
Coming off of their sweep of the Promethea Miners, the Tauron City Bulls managed to stay hot by going a combined 6-2 over the Blaze and Ersia Elephants the past two weeks. While not the stiffest of competition, the 6 wins were good enough to see the Bulls move into first place for the first time this season. After starting the season playing .500 ball, we’ll see if the Bulls can keep this run going through the second half of the year.
Relegation Watch
In the world of moral victories, the Ersia Elephants had a big one over the last two weeks. Despite losing 3 of 4 to the league leading Tauron City Bulls, the Elephants managed to take 3 of 4 from the Kobol College Twins, meaning they can still hold onto hope of not being relegated. The Elephants are still tied with the Vipers in the two relegation spots, but the reigning champion Luminere Reds are only a game clear, and the Twins are only two games clear. If the Bulls and Miners keep trending the way they have, the race at the bottom of the table may be closer than the race at the top.
Matchup of the week results
The Promethea Miners managed to take 3 of 4 from the Hadrian United in a relatively high scoring series. Scott Auchnie led the way for the Miners. The one time league MVP hit .500 in the series, with three home runs and 8 RBI. He was awarded player of the week honors for his effort.

Looking to next week, all eyes should be on the Promethea Miners and the Reidi Drillers. This would have been a top of the table series just a few weeks ago, but now we will see if the Drillers have what it takes to even think about contending.
