I could always do a modern day custom Western Hockey League. I would like too do the season where they had interlocking games with the AHL(probably because they were down to 5 teams at the time).
One of the reasons for the big NHL expansion of 1967 was because they(NHL) were fearful that the WHL would become a competing league.
