Again, the best player right now is Boone but I wouldn't pick him for the next 10-15 years. That makes it much tougher. You see, as a stathead I am conditioned to believe that walks are a players most important offensive skill. However, I realize that it is not the only offensive skill that has merit and should only be considered as one of many criteria. That is why, after much gnashing of teeth and repusling my desire to vote for Giles, I eventually voted for Soriano. True, the guy only takes a pitch if it is a full three feet off the plate, but it is also true that he his for average and much power. I truly hope that Giles will keep up his current production and I can rest easy in voting for him as the best of the best, but for now I think Soriano has to be the man. Man, that was tough.
