Make Owner Goals more negotiable and trade like

This idea came to me when my owner listed as a goal that I sign my closer to an extension. I am in a salary cap league and there is just no way I could bring him back with the jump of salary he was expecting. Plus anybody can close

So I don't know if this would be too hard to program and if the choices would have to be limited, but I had the idea that if the owner came to me with this goal, I would like the option to say
" I can't resign him but I can resign three very popular local players instead or I can guarantee a jump in attendance. "

The owner would then have the option to say no (of course) but if he says yes, then we are put on the hot seat even more if our promise doesn't become true.

I feel like this is a realistic way of approaching things, because the owner (im guessing) isnt close personal friends with my closer. He just wants him on the team because he brings in the revenue.

If you all think this is a decent idea, I also would be interested what other reasonable negotiations people can come up with for other owner goals.
