Jim Panther pitched 3 scoreless innings, allowing just 1 hit while striking out 3.
Bucky Dent continued to impress in Spring Training as he had a solo home run in the first.
Tom Ragland had a 3-run homer in the second.

Kansas City blasted Minnesota 11-5.
Milwaukee smacked Cleveland 6-2.
Boston buried the White Sox 7-1 but lost RP Lynn McGlothen for the season due to surgery to repair a damaged elbow ligament.
Baltimore doubled up California 6-3.
The Yankees knocked off Oakland 4-2.
Philadelphia took care of Montreal 8-3.
Atlanta shut out St Louis 3-0 but lost Tom Dukes for 4 months after the RP had surgery to remove bone chips in his elbow.
Cincinnati beat San Francisco 3-1.
Houston handled the Cubs 6-1.
Los Angeles nipped San Diego 2-1.
A grand slam by Jim Fregosi in the bottom of the twelfth gave the Mets a 6-2 win over Pittsburgh.
