What about his pedigree? Was he a highly rated prospect.
Despite the good outcome from your POV it seems to me that unless CF was a position he had no business playing and/or his status was high a 21 year old should generally be happy to play. Imagine if Mike Trout had wanted to play 1B as a rookie.
No criticism intended. I'm very interested in the nuts and bolts of this module.

He is 24, not 21.Sorry. Rating was 61 as a center fielder. He had ratings for 5 different positions,. LF was the best. Contact rating was 72, eye rating was 21. There was seriously nothing special about him . I traded an overpaid veteran pitcher who wasn't producing for a couple young prospects. My assistant GM wasn't happy with the trade. I liked his high contact rating and speed/stolen base rating...81/100. He is a LHB which I needed. He also has a high intelligence rating and work ethic which I look for. I brought him up from AAA and put him in the lead off spot around the second month of the season due to injuries. He was my most consistent hitter. He has 33 stolen bases now. 4-5 months into the season I noticed he was unhappy in regards to his role on the team. So I put him at first base and he quickly improved his rating there. I had a similar situation last year with a short stop i acquired in a trade. Similar ratings, nothing special except high contact, speed and intelligence. He hit .330 for the season. This year he dropped to .265 and is playing more according to his ratings. He plays 75% of the time. I expect my 1B to taper off and become more realistic next season. Just going to enjoy it now. I have a fictional league, just starting September and I'm 12 games up on the second place team. I will try to upload a screenshot of his particulars.
