May hit a solo home run in the top of the first to quickly put the Brewers on the board. Briggs added an RBI single. As did Conigliaro. A 3-run first inning for Milwaukee.

After three: Milwaukee 3 Texas 0.

In the top of the fourth, Conigliaro hit his 20th double of the season.

In the top of the fifth, Scott brought a run in with an RBI single. Briggs tried to do the same but Ford through Scott out at home trying to score from second. Rodriguez, however, did come up with an RBI single. Conigliaro did as well with the Brewers 10th hit of the game. Broberg was pulled at that point and Jan Dukes made his first appearance of the season as he took the mound for the Rangers and got the final out of the inning.

Billings beat out an infield single to get an RBI and put the Rangers on the board in the bottom of the sixth.

After six: Milwaukee 6 Texas 1.

In the bottom of the seventh, Harris hit his 10th double of the season. With Harris on third and one out, Mike W Thompson replaced Ryerson on the mound for Milwaukee. The very first batter Thompson faced this season, Maddox. drove in a run with a single. Howard added a 2-run double and suddenly we had a ballgame.

Paul Lindblad took the mound for the Rangers in the top of the eighth. The Rangers committed two errors in the inning and the lead was back to three runs.

Ken Sanders took the mound for the Brewers in the bottom of the eighth. Harris got the run back for the Rangers with his first home run of his career, a solo shot.

Casey Cox took the mound for the Rangers in the top of the ninth.

The Rangers never could overcome the 6-0 deficit and lost for the 11th time in a row to the Brewers.

Final score: Milwaukee 7 Texas 5.
