The Expos got enough offense and goodpitching to beat the Reds 3-0. Expos SP Scott Turner (6-7) allowed 0runs on 5 hits but allowed 4 BB's and 3 K's in 5.2 innings. CL AidenBeasley gave up a walk in the 9th, but struck out 2 for his 14thsave. LF Mat Garnett collected his 3rd triple of the year.

July 6th, 1976

The Expos had back to back HR's in the5th to beat the Reds. The Expos got a gem from SP Eddie Hernanez(9-4), the 23 year old allowed 1 run on 4 hits with K's in thecomplete game win. The Expos got solo HR's from 3B Gene Watkins withhis 5th and 1B Cory Carlson with his 4th.

Montreal could not overcome a toughstart by SP Eric Marks (5-7), the 28 year old only lasted 4 inningsafter throwing 104 pitches. Marks allowed 3 runs on 9 hits with 4BB's and 5 K's. The Expos gave up 16 hits during the game, but alsohad 11 of their own. 1B Darren Maher had 3 hits, while SS TonyDelgado had 3 himself. The issue the Expos had was the did not get anextra base hit.
