Offseason Coverage - Breaking News!

After 7 Years of service with the San Francisco Giants and a total of 19 years as a major league skipper. Manager Bruce Bochy has decided to retire from his role and step away from baseball operations after the Giants finished off an impressive 91 win season.

Bochy now 62, has been no stranger to winning after leading the Giants to the World Series and winning in 2010, 2012, and 2014. As well as a playoff berth in 2016. He had this to say.

"A very few ever get a chance to play in the majors. I was lucky enough to play, and coach, with some of the best players in the history of the game. 3 world series championships, 4 playoff runs, and a chance to see guys come up through our own ranks and stay with us for almost a decade... this is an experience that so many will never have and I have been proud and lucky to have had this chance to do this myself.

I am sad to see it end especially after such a great season, but there is never a good time to retire from the game. There will always be an urge, there will always be a reason, there will always be that "last chance" to make it happen, but it is time to just step back and admire, enjoy, and savor our accomplishments over the last decade. Go Giants!"
