The Rangers will end the month of August with a 9-game road trip beginning today in Milwaukee for three games against the Brewers. Unlike the Yankees, the Brewers have capitalized on their games against Texas, having won 5 out of 6 this season.

May got things going quickly for the Brewers in the bottom of the first with an RBI double.
Maddox tied the game in the top of the third with an RBI single.

The Brewers loaded the bases with nobody out in the bottom of the fourth. Ferraro grounded into a fielder's choice but the go-ahead run crossed the plate for Milwaukee.
Brett reached 100 K on the season when he struck out Kubiak in the top of the fifth.
Ferraro got his second RBI of the game with a run-scoring single in the sixth inning. Conigliaro added a sacrifice fly RBI.
After six: Milwaukee 4 Texas 1.
Milwaukee had a runner on second and two out when Gogolewski was pulled for Casey Cox. Briggs rudely greeted Cox with a 2-run homer 328 feet into right field.
In the top of the ninth, Brett set Nelson down on strikes for his 10th K of the game. Howard brought a run in with an RBI single. Ken Sanders replaced Brett with runners at the corners and two out. Harrah added an RBI single that brought the tying run to the plate but Ford flew out to end the game.
Final score: Milwaukee 6 Texas 3.
