Right before the game, the
Blue Jays announced
Troy Tulowitzki and
Paul Molitor have been demoted to AAA.
Fred McGriff, and
Kelly Gruber, who combined for 15 AAA home runs have joined the team and will be available to play tonight.

Joining the big club!
The
Jays have gone on a bit of a losing streak entering the game, and have lost the first two games of the series to the
Orioles.
Baltimore now sits in first place in the AL east. Each team today has
Roberto Alomar starting at 2
nd base. The
Baltimore Alomar his having the better season.
The first inning in our game of the weeks continues to hurt pitchers. After getting a out,
Price allows back to back doubles to
Roberto Alomar and
George Sisler as the
Orioles jump out in front.
Sisler would score and the
Orioles have an early advantage.
The
Jays start well, with a lead off
Alomar single, but he’s left stranded by
Mike Mussina.
Price gets 2 easy outs and comes undone in the 2
nd. Single, wild pitch, single, wild pitch, single. 4-0
Baltimore.
Toronto gets the leadoff hitter on again in the 2
nd, and would load the bases, but they get nothing, as
Mussina gets out of it. Looking like another one sided game.

2 Price wild pitches come back to bite
It’s the 4
th inning before the
Jays get on the board.
Jose Bautista hits a solo shot cutting the lead to 4-1.
Price leaves the game after 4 innings, allowing 11 hits. Poor performance from him.
Aaron Sanchez comes in, having allowed 0 runs through 11.2 innings.
Sanchez cruises through 2 innings before getting into trouble in the seventh.
Alomar and
Sisler occupy first and third without an out, and a chance to blow the game open.
Frank Robinson lines out, and in comes
BJ Ryan to take on
Jim Gentile.
George Sisler tries to steal 2
nd and is gunned out by
Russell Martin. Another wild pitch allows
Alomar to score, and the
Orioles do get one. 5-1 lead.

Jays can't get Sisler out
Mussina leaves after a excellent performance, allowing 1 run and 5 hits.
Greg Olson comes in to mop it up.
Tony Fernandez scores on a
Russell Martin single, and
Olson loads the bases with walks. 2 out, down by 3,
George Bell steps up to the plate with a chance to steal the lead.
Bell hits the 3-2 pitch into shallow right, and
Frank Robinson makes a routine catch. Opportunity wasted.

Mussina out duels Price
The
Jays closer,
Tom Henke comes into the game in a non save situation. Seems like a weird spot for him. He gives up a few hits and a run. 6-2
Baltimore going into the ninth.
Baltimore goes to their own
BJ Ryan to finish it. A
Manny Machado error, opens the door.
The
Jays load the bases with that error, a single and a walk. With one out,
Jose Bautista, already with a homer, comes to bat. He hits a grounder to short, the
Orioles get one, but can’t close the game. Now down 6-3, with 2 out, the
Jays look to
Lloyd Moseby, the potential tying run.
Zach Britton is in the game for
Baltimore.
Moseby hits the 2-2 pitch. A weak grounder.
Baltimore makes the easy play, and the
Orioles win the game 6-3!

Chance to win it, but comes up empty.
