Comparing them with their expansion brothers, the
Florida Marlins should be better then the
Rockies, but the overall depth still isn't on par with most teams here, and I expect them to struggle.
Kevin Brown is the ace of a staff that isn't spectacular, but won't embarrass themselves either. They need to stay healthy though. That could be a problem looking at their injury histories. The offense isn't impressive.
Carlos Delgado, Gary Sheffield and
Miguel Cabrera will put up good numbers, but they are the only real pieces teams will be worried about.
Any injury is gonna be a problem. There isn't anyone who could step in without a dropoff.
Juan Pierre is the teams top player, while
Josh Beckett will probably be the top pitching callup.
