Not surprising. But, generally, they shouldn't.
On one hand, the only way to override (for example) questionable or undesirable AI postseason roster/rotation/batting order decisions is to make slight-by-hand alterations. OTOH,
massive unintended consequences may result. So that should be fixed.
That said, I think my workaround for the time being is to disable Allow Starters in Relief during the postseason, and become more diligent in manually making pitching changes.
