3 IPA PENNANTS DECIDED, 5 UP IN THE AIR
With one week to go in the season three IPA powerhouses have already hoisted up division flags, but five divisions have not been decided... as expected the Middlefield Roosters (99-48), Pro Cup champ Midway Wolves (102-45) and Turon Typhoons (101-46) have already wrapped up the pennants and are getting ready for the big payday, the Pro Cup trophy... it's a do-or-die week for the other five divisions.
In the Ruthlandian North reigning titleholder Taranto has has a bevy of challengers... the Ranford Bulls (81-66) have a slim one-game lead over the Tars (80-67) and the Valmara Vipers (80-67) with the Far Mountain Redhawks (78-69) just 3 games back and the Glasco Athletics only four games behind.
Over in the Ruthlandian South the Valka Blackhawks (77-70) are trying to hold off the fast-closing St. John Crusaders (74-73)... the Blackhawks go into the last week of the season up by 3 games.
Last year's division winner Wynnamac (89-58) and Marston (87-60) are going at it in the Ruthlandian East... the Sundowners have a slight 2-game edge with 7 more games left.
There are a couple of races to be decided in the Tycobbian Union... the Denton City Redbirds (92-55) and Luxora Zorros (78-69) are longshots to overcome good leads by the Arlon Champions (96-51) and the White River Rascals (83-54)... Arlon is 4 games ahead of the Redbirds in the TU West and White River has a 5-game lead over the Z's in the TU North.
