I'm aware that posting this stuff makes it fair game for this type of thing.
I've seen that folks are selling pics posted here on eBay It's one thing to try to sell them. The question Is, is anybody buying those things? What are they selling them for? By the time they've printed them on cardboard stock and paid postage, what are they netting from these things? I don't personally see much of a market for these pictures. People usually want to buy a picture of some ballplayer to get an autograph on it. Once the player is dead, and most of these guys are, it's hard to get them to autograph a picture. As far as making cards, I would think that the pro's like Topps would have market researched the efficacy of churning out sets of these old players and I don't see them doing it, so I would doubt that anybody trying to convert these old pics into cards to sell wouldn't be buying property in Malibu anytime soon. What do you guys think?
