There's a Joe "Smokey Joe" Williams (historical minors ID: willia008joe) and a Smokey Joe Williams (ID: willia001smo) who tended to play on the same teams in the 20's and 30's (e.g. 1932 Homestead Grays), but whose birthdates were 16 years apart. Looking at the baseball reference and Seamheads databases, there was only 1 SJ Williams playing for these teams. It looks like it's the same person, even if it's not immediately obvious.
