The Yankees had a horrible road trip to start this month. They went 2-8, including being swept in Texas. They have ended their skid with a pair of home wins against the White Sox and now host the Rangers for three. Texas is looking to end a six game losing streak.

The double shutout remained intact past the eighth inning.
Biittner broke the tie with an RBI single in the top of the ninth. Lenny Randle gave Texas a two run lead with an RBI double.
Paul Lindblad came in to pitch the ninth for Texas and he got the three outs to end the Rangers 6 game losing streak and give Texas a fourth straight win over the Yankees.
