Cab the Rangers drop Milwaukee again while once again playing the underdog role?

The Rangers get on the board in the first as Dave Nelson brings home a run on a groundout. Burroughs followed up with his 10th homer of the season, a 2-run blast. The Rangers were not done as they loaded the bases. Despite batting around the order, the three runs would be all they would get.

The Brewers would load the bases with nobody out in the bottom of the first. A double play groundball would bring in a run. Theobald would bring home another with a single.

Burroughs struck out to lead off the top of the third. It was Lockwood's 40th K of the season.

After three: Texas 3 Milwaukee 2.

Mike Ferraro gave Milwaukee the lead in the fourth with a 2 run single.

After six: Milwaukee 4 Texas 3.

Paul Lindblad came out to pitch the seventh for Texas.

After Lockwood walked Biittner to begin the eighth, the Brewers brought Ken Sanders in to pitch. And Sanders made sure Biittner was left stranded.

Sanders also got the 1-2-3 ninth to get the save.

Final score: Milwaukee 4 Texas 3.
