Need Help With An Explanation of This
I can't figure it out. U5-4. On a ground ball. The only *possible* thing I can think of is the runner on third had a brain cramp and instead of, you know, running on a ground ball, returned toward the base where he was tagged out??? I mean how else do you get the third out?
NOTE: I'm playing my "nostalgia" league tonight after spending quite some time in OOTP18 today. This is OOTP 11. So if this is a "bug" please don't anyone report it. This game is seven years old. I just like to play the old versions sometimes for the heck of it.
EDIT--NOTE 2: Oh yeah, defense was straight up, so it's not a case of the third basemen playing in the middle somewhere.
ADDED: You know what, nm, I think I can sort of visualize it in my head now. The ball is a slow line drive hit right toward third base. The runner on third breaks for home, realizes it may be caught, and heads back to third. The 3rd baseman one hops it, tags the runner on third out, steps on third base to retire the runner on second, and fires it to second in time to get the runner who was on first. I can see that happening. Sure got me out of a ham. lol
