Nolan Griffin (USA) of New York will miss 2 months with a torn triceps, likely keeping him out for the remainder of the regular season. The Toms River native started 3 games for his hometown team, going 0-1 with an 8.38 ERA and 12 strikeouts in 9.2 innings. The 42 year old was placed on the 60-Day DL as the struggling New York club looks to replace him.

Paco Guichardo (MEX) would be scratched in recent games after suffering a sprained ankle in a game last week against Chicago. The reigning MVP is off to another solid start with a .300 AVG and 1 HR in 14 games. Guichardo told the local media that he would not risk further injury by playing hurt, but denied he would miss much time.
