GM Notes:
I am not sure what happened this month with these guys, but I will take it. After such a bad start we just made it through August at 24-5! I am not sure I did that good during my hay-day in Norfolk. I am not sure what is going on, but we are riding high and I have to say I am amazed to see us on the top of the power rankings! We are riding high here in Chadds Ford. I don't think we will stay at #1, but to say we peaked at #1 is quite impressive, especially for an expansion team from just a few seasons back. The Royals, another expansion team from 2030, were supposed to be contenders this season as well, but they imploded and were never able to battle back as we have. That is the difference, the young guys in Chadds Ford have performed and are proving themselves to be legit. Have we finally turned that corner?

Here we head into September #1 in our division with a really handy lead. Can we hold off the competition? Win the division head into the playoffs? Or will we crash and burn? We have continued to get better over the year, which is just something I have no reason why.
April: 7-14 .333
May: 14-15 .483
June: 16-11 .593
July: 17-8 .680
August: 24-5 .828

This was a month to remember... What to attribute these W's too? The new manager Bill Patterson? The acquisition of Phil Davis? The removal of Ramon Cruz or John Robertson from the lineup? Having true leaders like Shunen Koyama and Pedro Rivera? Maybe it has just been a combination of them all... whatever it is I will take it.

Look at these starters for August: Cuesta: 3-0; Ji: 3-0;, Pearl: 3-0; Shepherd: 6-0, and then you have Jonathan Loeffler who picked up 14 saves! I am just blow away by the way this team has come together and the way they have played.

The big question is do I bring up anyone for September? I am worried about breaking up the clubhouse and the continuity of this team. I do look forward to getting Casanes back. I am thinking about bringing Rubio back too, but in a limited role. And that might be all the changes I make... at least until we clinch (if we do), then maybe we will bring up some more players.

This is pretty crazy, but quite exciting. After the way this team started to be where we are right now to have a chance to take home a division title, to be #1 in the power rankings to have a 10 game lead. This all has happened way too fast, I really didn't think it would happen to us, at least not in 2036.

That is really all I have to say. A lot of positive cheering and back-patting, but now it gets real. Now is the time to prove we are contenders and not pretenders. This is when the fun begins.
