Buccaneers pace the field
The Caprica City Buccaneers lead the Premier League after 8 games. Apparently they’re allergic to Sundays, as they are 6-0 on Thurs, Fri, and Sat, and 0-2 on Sunday. The C-bucs lead the league in basically every offensive category.
Rest of league bunched up tight
Unlike the challenger league, where the gulf between the top and bottom was 7 games, the Premier League is packed up much tighter. There’s only a 3 game difference between the first and last place teams. In fact, places 8-12 in the standings all have the same record.
Vipers lead league in ERA early
Doing enough to propel themselves to second place in the standings, the Landson Vipers currently have the hottest pitching staff in the league. The Vipers have help opponents to only 22 earned runs over their first 8 games, and have surrendered only 2 home runs.
Drillers ink star
As mentioned in the introduction, the Drillers had a big interest in signing 2-time all star Sheridan O’Fallon to a contract extension this season. They have now succeded, signing O’fallon to a 6 year, 47 million dollar deal. O’Fallon is hitting just .172 with 5 hits and 3 RBI this year.
