In the top of the 6th, with two out and two on, Yoshi's Egg Swing was misplayed by Baby Peach into a 3-base error. Birdo worked a perfect 1.1 IP for the relief win.

The Muscles took a 2-0 lead with home runs by Waluigi and Red Koopa Troopa. Blue Kritter slammed a 3-run shot in the bottom of the second. The Wilds sealed the deal with a game ending 4-6-3 double play.

The scoring came early: A total of 4 home runs in the first two innings. While Mario eventually found his groove, getting the last 9 batters in a row; Bowser needed his defense to close out the game. The Fireballs saw double plays end the 3rd, 4th and 5th.
