Not a problem. I used Paintshop Pro 8. You can also use Photoshop. What you want to do is cut everything into layers by using the magic wand or the Freehand Selection Tool. Different things can be layered togather, like both of Cobb's socks, his hat and the detroit logo on his jersey because they are all the same color. Same with the players entire uniform, since they are the same color. The idea is to have the least amount of layers as possible, to limit the time.
Once you have everything seperated by layers, you want to colorize them by adjusting the hue and saturation of each layer. you can also brighten or darken them to your liking. If you look at the players shoes, I gave them both the same color, but I darkened Cobb's.
The thing you have to figure out yourself is what color everything will be. You can often tell by the shade of grey. I went back and actually found out what color their uniforms were. Once you know what one color is, you can compare that shade of grey with others.
I'm actually very new to Paintshop pro, and I'm sure I can do more to clean up the image, I just have not yet learned. There are tutorials all over the internet, and I would recommend looking at some of those.
