in my semi-fictional league, I traded a fictional 4 time cy-young winner (33 years old, still in prime) for a 20 year old Dizzy Dean, also have the computer $10,000 cash and another decent pitcher.

a day later the computer released both players they just got from the trade??? no salary cap or cash issues...

I manually went in and added both players to their team again, they kept them after that.
