Draft Picks:
I am happy with our picks and the fact that we signed everyone. I am not really sure what Elias was thinking when he drafted 2 "impossible" highschoolers who didn't want to be in Chadds Ford, so I don't really count them. One of the downfalls of letting the scout take over the draft.

Other/Roster News:
MR Pedro Rivera contacted me and asked for an extension. Not sure I am ready to move on that just yet. Not sure he will be around with the team come the All-Star Break with Cuest and Higashi on the mend.
GM Notes:
We hit 10 wins in a row and then all hell broke loose. After losing our streak, we won another one and then loss 4-straight. This is why this team drives me crazy. We just can't seem to do anything consistent. Red-hot, ice-cold. We aren't going to get very far playing like that. The highs of the past 2-weeks have pretty much been washed away (at least in my eyes.)
With Juan Cuesta and Nobukazu Higashi making their way through rehabs, I will need to make some decisions. The Gehrig Pearl experiment might need to be put on hold after struggling this season. So far he has gone 1-2 6.17 in 6 starts, but it looks like he could use some development. He has a bright future, but now isn't his time.
Losing Leon Hernandez is going to hurt, but at least he won't be out that long. I have thought about bringing up my top pick Tully Maxwell, but that is probably not the right move. With 8 games next week I might just go with 12 pitchers and only 13 hitters. Maybe not, maybe its Mu-Sang Kim's turn... something to think about in the next few minutes.
I keep battling myself with what I should do with Hank Davis. Hank Davis is how hitting .218 with 31 bombs and 33 RBI's. Far off his 2035 season. I am going to keep him around for now, but depending on how the next month goes he may be dealt before the deadline. His arbitration numbers are going to get too pricey for a .220 hitter.
Like I mentioned last week, being able to be "better" teams is going to be key to our success, and that is what we could NOT do last week losing all three games in a bad way against the Admirals. What it boils down to is starting pitching. We need our pitchers to step it up. We are not going to be able to compete with the 8th best staff in the conference.
