I'm playing the Path to Glory mode in I think my 4th season coaching the Adirondack Thunder. I have a problem where I am currently in the preseason and cannot continue onto the next day because I am unable to get enough players on my team under the age of 26. The reason this is happening is because both the AHL and NHL team above me have dumped 7 players on me that are over 26. I can't demote/release/trade any of them. All the players contracted to me are under 26 and if I promote 2 young guys from my lower league team it puts me over the maximum number of players on the roster and again cannot continue.

The bottom line says:
Number of players: 19/20 (13/18 Dressed)(Under 26: 12/14 minimum)

What can I do?
