I am long-time fan of OOTP, and recently upgraded to OOTP5. I love the assignment of stars to both established players and strs, and, used with certain cautions, I find they really help me find the players I am looking for in large pools. But here are two questions.

First, do you have examples from your own experience of really nice surprises -- you know, a guy who had 2 stars when drafted as an amateur who turns out to be a really good starter? I haven't seen this happen myself, just 4- and 5-star disappointments, as of course there should be.

Second, and this really belongs to the OOTP wish list, could the star system be modified to allow us to input our own preferences? As long as I have played it, OOTP has alswys placed a big premium on guys who hit for power, but I prefer speed-defense-contact people. It would be nice to make the ratings do that.
