Frank Schulte of the Chicago Cubs had an enormous week at the plate and today was voted the Player of the Week by the National League. "Wildfire" batted .565 (13-for-23) with 1 home run and 7 RBIs. This year Schulte is hitting .272 with 124 hits, 22 home runs, 74 RBIs and has scored 60 runs.

His lightning swing and solid bat took the American League by storm. All week Lou Gehrig of the New York Yankees stunned opponents with an electrifying performance to capture the American League Player of the Week honors.
