I am a long time lurker. I bought my first copy of OOTP in early March 2002, version number 4, I think. I played in multiple online leagues from 2002 to about about 2008. I was turned off with some of the changes to 2006, so I did not buy 2007-2009 versions. I came back with version 10 and have bought every version since. I mainly just create my own leagues to while away my time when listening to podcasts late at night. I am typically not too enthused about whatever the next version promotes. I buy it, but rarely am I itching to play it on release day.

With all of that said, this is not the case with OOTP 18. Promotion/Relegation, Tournaments, and Negro Leagues are gigantic selling points. I am so excited, I decided to step out of from the shadows to say from a long-time customer, this is the awesome, and I am pre-ordering tonight. Oh, and even though I have owned 12 of the previous 17 versions of OOTP, I've never pre-ordered until now. Great job, Markus and company!
