30 teams in Major League, with affiliates (bar "winter leagues")
Feeder system with colleges and high schools representing each country
Schools only to have domestic players, for obvious reasons

Here are the problems;

Using a region default doesn't represent each country, mostly just the high quality baseball ones who have multiple teams, so that's out
Player origin is a joke, the suggestion above made it okay - for the major league it defaulted to equal representation by country (when I set no region and each team's nationality manually), but for the feeder leagues I had to go through each damn nationality (all 30) and set them manually so that players would generate from them. Couldn't find a button to make it represent the teams present
If I misclick, all progress is whiped, so I never touch the initial screens
Saving templates is a ridiculous chore, there's no saving dialogue and I can't overwrite previous templates, so I have redundant templates
Some teams have to be manually edited to fit the city they're from after game start
Despite setting "no foreigners allowed", when teams are filled with created players they inevitably have every nationality under the sun

On top of this, OOTP has started flickering with a black screen if I play too long, and I've just lost a number of edits I've made as it just wouldn't stop being black.

I'll wait another 3 years perhaps. Again thanks for your time and efforts - they are appreciated, but I cant' see a way to make it work at the moment - the game editing seems fundamentally broken for what I want to achieve.
