OOTPhub/OOTPmods ... i made a booboo
I was making some changes to the way the website works and apparently it didn't like one, or more, of them.
the add-ons central is not affected, and if you go to ootpmods.com or ootphub.com and don't login, everything is fine. you can view and download just fine.
but
if you try to login to the website, you get a 500 server error and are locked out....
this becomes a problem when trying to fix my problem.
if i had thought i was making a major change, i would have made a manual back-up o9f the DB right before the changes, I could just re-load that... but i thought i was just making a minor config change... so i didn't
ok fine, goto the last weekly back-up.... nope thats not working.... probably because i am incompetent.
so the last manual back-up i have is from like a month ago. well luckily i've been sick again so not a whole lot has been done, but i do think if i need to do that a number of new registered users, will have to re-register. not he end of the world, but a PITA
hopefully i can find a way to fix it without resorting to the old back-up, but there is a point where it makes more sense to go back a few weeks and rebuild whatever was lost than spend a bunch of time and effort spinning my wheels.
i'll let everybody know what happens
