I have noticed the salaries in the game settings>league settings>financials>team expenses and salary settings are much higher than in real life. The minimum salary in 1962 game is $11,800. In real-life the minimum was $5000-6000. The for the 1963 season, the computer will raise some players salaries by over 50%. I have tried to change the settings. Team still ends up in the red. I've even tried to let the computer assign fictional contracts to coaches and players, as well as the league. I have also tried to cut the development expenses to $0 No luck.
Is there any way to make the financials more accurate the financials to make them more accurate for 1962? I am trying to see if the Mets saved money and began spending in 1965, would this help their ability to win.
Any help wouild be appreciated.

Did you import the financial settings for 1962? Also, make sure you have the box for importing financial settings the following year checked.
I think that will probably solve the problem as this isn't a common issue.
