It sounds like there's a problem with that particular save; the problems mentioned earlier in this thread were fixed long ago. If you can upload the save for us, we can have a look and see exactly what's going wrong - there are instructions for uploading it to our ftp site
here, or you can post it to a file sharing site like filedropper.com or dropbox and send me the link.
