Now that Indianapolis has finished their schedule, we called up two more players: LHP Steve Mulder and OF Rich Doody.

Bottom of the 7th: Rick Ferrell and Steve Jensen start us off with back-to-back singles. 2B Randy Penn tries to bunt them over, but instead beats it out for a hit! Don Quinney lines a hit to center and Ferrell scores! 6 to 4, Beavers! Jerry Alston singles to left and Jensen scores! 7 to 4, Beavers! New pitcher: RHP Frankie Jenkinson. Frank Wiginton bloops a hit to left and 2 runs score! 9 to 4, Beavers! Ernesto Gonzelez walks to load the bases back up. Tim DePriest lines one to deep left, but it is caught and Alston trots home. 10 to 4, Beavers! Pinch-Hitter: LHB Rich Doody. He walks to load them back up. Rick Ferrell strikes out. 2 down. Steve Jensen flies out to right.

Alan Gross (W 6-8) went 6 innings, allowed 4 runs, 10 hits, 3 walks and struck out 1. He threw a WP.
RHP Ron Beckman went 1 inning, allowed 1 walk and struck out 1.
RHP Freddy Arana went 2 innings, allowed 1 hit, 1 walk and struck out 3.

Dick LeFeber (L 8-12) went 5.2 innings, gave us 5 runs, 4 hits, 2 walks and struck out 2. He did not give us a hit until the 5th inning. At bat, he hit a double and scored a run.

CF Don Quinney had 2 hits, scored 2 runs and had an RBI. PH Ray Wilson drew a walk. LF Frank Wiginton had a hit and 2 RBIs. 1B Ernesto Gonzelez hit a double, drew 3 walks (ties the Beaver record), scored 2 runs and had an RBI. 3B Tim DePriest hit a double and had 2 RBIs. 2B Mike Cavallaro hit a double and scored a run. PH Rich Doody drew a walk. SS/2B Rick Ferrell had 2 hits with a triple, scored 2 runs and had 2 RBIs. 2B Randy Penn had a hit and scored a run in his only time up to bat.

For the Reds, RF Lee Kowalski had 3 hits, stole a base, scored 2 runs and had 2 RBIs. LF Keith Redlin had 3 hits and a walk and had an RBI.
