Top of the 2nd: We load the bases up with 1 out on hits by Joe Hartin and Ron Charles and an error on Jake Johnson. E -4. But Rick Ferrell strikes out and P Tony Ricketts grounds out to short.
Bottom of the 2nd: Larry Menard leads off with a single and goes to 2nd on a wild pitch. Arturo Guerra draws a walk. With 2 outs and runners at 1st and 3rd, Joe Gombos steals 2nd and then Dan Beyeler grounds a hit up the middle and both runners score. 2 to 0, Cubs.
