To the extent that I use them now (and I haven't even done this in a couple of years), I'll use them on a small scale to try and emulate the Dominican or (former) Venezuelan academy systems. However, since Markus added International Scouting Discoveries to the game along with the ability to set their nationalities by percentage, I haven't even done that.
The biggest pro to using feeders IMO is the ability to create and follow individual players throughout their entire careers, even before they turn pro.
