On a second note, It takes a while to get a trade even just during the season. Send offer and wait a day for a "NO WAY!". Any way to streamline trading?

You should get feedback on your draft trade offers immediately, without having to sim anything (ie when you send your offer the other manager should decide whether to do the trade or not and tell you to finalize the trade if they agree). This also happens when you get close to the trade deadline.
As for streamlining trades, there isn't much to do. Best bet is to look at the advice you get when offering a trade. I find that "balanced offers" don't usually get accepted but if you get feedback saying they will likely accept the trade you should get it accepted. So that will save time waiting and sending counter offers. It would be cool if the AI sent counter offers but that is probably too advanced for the engine at this point.
