Adopt a Prospect 2016

Entering the 2016 season, I want people to 'create a prospect' and I will post how your player is doing as their career progresses.

Here is what you need to tell me

Name:
Nickname: Not necessary, but if you want one
High School or College, and birthday (don't need year, just month and date)
Note - college players will have slightly higher current ratings (10%), but have less potential (-2%)
Hometown (needs to be a real place):
Uniform Number:
Personality Attribute, pick 1-200 in each of the following, totals equal up to 1100 combined:
Leadership:
Desire for Winner:
Loyalty:
Greed:
Work Ethic:
Intelligence:
Adaptability:
Controversy:
Handle Success:
Handle Failure:
Handle Critics:

Height:
Weight:
Bats :R/L/S
Throws: R/L
Position/Role (if you pick a position player, select a primary, and then a secondary position):

Do you prefer to be a position player or pitcher?
If you choose a position player, then select from the following:

Position Player Options:
Bat Rating Allocations (High School players first, college players second)
Position (Catcher, Corner Infielder/Corner Outfielder, Middle Infielder/Center Fielder)
Ratings are Current/Potential
C - High School (175/575) College (195/560)
CIF/COF - High School (225/650) College (250/625)
MIF/CF - High School (210/625) College (235/610)

Note. If you are a catcher, you are given more defensive ratings inherently
If you choose a middle infielder or CF, he will be given more speed and defensive ratings

Example would be as follows:
College CIF 1B/3B
250/625

BABIP: 60/150
Avoid K's: 60/150
Gap: 40/120
Power: 50/125
Eye/Patience: 40/80

Speed and Defense:

You can select one of the following five:

Exceptional Defensively, but slow
Good defensively, but slower
Good mix of speed and defense
Good speed, but below average defensively
Exceptional speed, but poor defensively

*Yes, people with great speed should be great defensively naturally. But in the years doing this, it's easier to do this this way.

If you select a pitcher:
You get 3 pitches, pick those 3 pitches, one of them MUST be a fastball/sinker/cutter or knuckleball:

Say those three pitches, your choices are:
fastball
sinker
cutter
curveball
slider
changeup
splitter
forkball
circle change
screwball
knucklecurve
knuckleball

Then select a current/potential rating for each pitch that you select, and for movement and control as well:
If you are a high schooler, max potential has to be a combined 775 potential, or, if you are a college pitcher, a combined 725 for a college pitcher, and current ratings for a high schooler are 300 current, and if you are in college, it is 350

So an example would be:

High School Pitcher

Fastball: 50/160
Curveball: 50/135
Changeup: 50/135
Movement: 50/175
Control: 50/170

I will give you an update twice per year, and posters will get to decide where they go as free agents, and when they retire.

For those that want to retire, you have to tell me when you want to retire, but if a player doesn't get any offers for 12 months, he will be forced to retire.

I am not certain how many guys I am going to take this time, but it will be less than last year

Here is the format I want you to post in your reply to this thread

If you enter a player, I need you to consistently check into this thread (subscribe please!) and be able to update decisions for your player within 24 hours of the post, otherwise I make the decision, and that loses all the joy in doing this. So only enter a player if you intend on following up on this. I will limit the number of people that I will take on because updating can become time consuming.

Here is the 2015 Adopt a Prospect thread which I gave up on early
http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ct-2015-a.html

And here is the 2014 one that I finished
http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ospect-18.html

This one included several hall of famers and some guys that turned into managers.

Not certain how often I'll update, but signing up is first come, first serve, but I would give way to someone who has participated in the 2014 one likely first that consistently contributed. That's the hardest part here, getting people to stay with their guy to make decisions.
