Manager Rene Perez (61) has his Marlins in town to play a 4-game series through the weekend. They split a 2-game set with the Cubs on Monday and Tuesday. The first time we met them, we lost 3 of 4 in Miami, May 7-10. They are 3rd in the league in runs scored with 4.9 per game (Portland is #16 (last) with 3.5). Ron Charles pops out to the catcher.

Bottom of the 9th: Still 2 to 1, Marlins. New pitcher: RHP Werner Berry, their closer. We get a 2-out infield hit from Ron Charles, but that is it.
