Top of the 3rd: With 1 out, John Anderson, given a 2nd chance when RF Lebron Williams dropped his foul ball for an error (E-9), lines a hit to left center. He goes to 2nd when P Tony Ricketts throw a pickoff throw away. (E-1). He then steals 3rd and Herman Taylor singles him home. 2 to 1, Giants. Back-to-back singles by Alfredo Cabrera and Stan Brown load the bases up with 1 out. Full count to Billy Griffin and the pitcher who is 4th in the league in fewest walks per 9 innings, walks in a run. 3 to 1, Giants. The Bullpen is alerted. Bottom of the 7th: 7 to 3, Giants now. Randy Penn is injured trying to break up a double play. He bruised his knee and will mis a week or so. I have no one who can play 2nd on the bench. Vicente Saavedra will give it a try.

Nobody hit a ball to Saavedra at 2nd, thankfully.

LF Frank Wiginton hit his 7th home run of the season. RF Lebron Williams had 3 hits and scored a run. 3B Jim Eighmy walked twice and scored a run. 1B Eric McCornack had 2 hits with a double. C Rich Nolan had 2 hits with a double and an RBI. PH Ron Charles drew a walk.

For the Giants, CF John Anderson had 3 hits and a walk, stole 2 bases, scored a run and had an RBI. 3B Pat Crum hit a bases-loaded triple.
