Extras!
Top of the 10th: Ron Beckman sits them down in order, striking out the 1st 2 batters, including Stan Brown!
Bottom of the 10th: With 1 outs, Ivan Lopez reaches on an error by SS Edwin Cruz, who is not a shortstop, but a first baseman. This, however, makes us have to pinch hit for Ron Beckman, but Rich Nolan grounds out to 1st.
Top of the 11th: New Pitcher: LHP Jim Ackley. The Giant bench is empty. Juan Abundis leads off with a triple.... Billy Griffin grounds out to 2nd with the infield in and Abundis has to stay put. Ackley then strikes out 2 in a row!!
Bottom of the 11th: We go down in order.
Top of the 12th: With no one on the bench, P Mark Brownlee has to hit, but he lines a single to right. John Anderson walks. Call to the Bullpen: RHP Larry Castillo, the last fresh arm we have. Jimmy Roebuck bunts the runners up, which is stupid, because now we will just walk their best hitter, Stan Brown. Bases loaded 1 out for 3B Ryan McGinnis, who is batting .435 in 23 AB. Full count and he swings and grounds one to short. Ivan Lopez fires home to get the force at the plate, but that is all we get. 2 outs. Full count to Juan Abundis, who triples his last time up. He swings and misses!!!
Bottom of the 12th: With 1 out, Jim Eighmy singles to left. Eric McCornack follows with a walk. 1-2 pitch to Ron Charles and he sends one to deep center that maybe, could be...IS!!! Home run! And THIS Ballgame Belongs to the Beavers!
