1990 - First Round Playoffs

81-81 vs 98-64

Regular Season - Reds won the series 13-7
Pitching - Pink Knights are 3rd in runs allowed, Reds 7th
Batting - Reds are tops in batting, while we are only 12th.

The Reds rely heavily on 3B Chris Sabo (.285/32/123) while outfielders Hal Morris (.307/20/86) and Eric Davis (.272/22/77) provide the support. 20-game winner Jose Rijo will likely get a couple starts, with 18-game winner Jack Armstrong and 16-game winner Tom Browning will get the remaining. All-Star Closer Rob Dibble will be tough to beat when he comes in for a save.

3rd: Ozzie Guillen RBI double (2-2)
4th: Jim Leyritz 2-run HR (4-2)

POTG: Jim Leyritz 3-4 2r 2rbi

Game Two: Jamie Moyer vs Jack Armstrong

8th: Sam Horn 2-run HR (3-0)

Game Three: Mark Langston vs Tom Browning

5th: Ozzie Guillen RBI ground-out (1-0)
6th: Tony Phillips RBI sacrifice fly-out (2-0)

POTG: Mark Langston 2-hit shutout. 1 walk, 10 strike-outs.

Game Four: Sid Fernandez vs Jose Rijo

6th: Tony Phillips RBI single (1-0)
6th: Glenallen Hill 3-run inside-the-park HR (4-0)

POTG: Sid Fernandez 4-hit shutout. 3 walks, 10 strike-outs.

Well, well, well! An unexpected sweep of the league's best team! Offensive, we stunk up the joint, but we put on a historic pitching performance that will be hard for any team to ever beat! Apparently the big bad Reds could not handle hitting against left-handed pitching, which we put against them in every game.
