I can only echo what brentdog has said above - playing single player only gets you so far with regards to immersion and challenges. Playing against other human GMs, negotiating, building rivalries, following franchise and player storylines etc. gets so much more exciting than playing against AI. Imagine the hockey universe of FHM that you have built, only that there are some 30 others to share it with! Add to that the amazing community we have built, it feels almost as though we are getting to know each other.
I have not been part of many online leagues before, but others who are in the iNHL and have previous experience from online leagues (OOTP etc.) have said that our league is something special, mostly thanks to the community we have built.
