Monday's Topps uploads (KE) 61-62 Bob Babcock; 63-66 Benny Ayala; 67-68 Steve Avery; 69-70 Earl Averill (Jr); 71-72 Rick Austin; 73-74 Don August; 75-76 Tony Auferio (Cardinals system; spent one season as major league coach/bullpen catcher); 77-80 Rick Auerbach; 81-100 NFL/WFL
Yeah, but the Babcocks are going make up for it. I can't be the only New Yorker (or ex-) with a touch of bemused affection for the 1980 Rangers, aka "Throw a Mayor's Trophy Game in a Blender, Mix, and Voila!" Someone's bound to bite.

Bud Harrelson, Jon Matlack, Rusty Staub, Doc Medich, Ed Figueroa, Mickey Rivers, Sparky Lyle…so what if they had an average age of 62 or so? You need experience, right?

(And hey, Mickey hit .333. With 20 walks to boost the OBA up to… .353. Never change, Mick.)
