Game Start: 7:05 PM
Weather: 51 deg. Partly Cloudy with an 8 MPH wind blowing in from right.

Tom Scott swings a t the first pitch and grounds out to 3rd. Arturo Martinez swings at the first pitch and pops out to 2nd. Full count to Ignacio Medina and he takes ball four. Full count to Charlie Reshard and he pops one out to shallow left. Wiginton, ho was playing deep, has ti hustle and he make a great sliding catch!

Bottom of the 1st: Frank Wiginton flies out to deep center. Full count to Jim Eighmy and he takes ball four. Scott Setta grounds into a 5-4-3 double play.

Bottom of the 2nd: With 1 out, Joe Hartin doubles off the top of the center field wall. Ron Charles, in his Beaver debut, singles to left and Hartin sops at 3rd. Rick Ferrell rips one right to the second baseman for a line out double play....

Top of the 3rd: P Pete Reilly starts off by walking his opposite number, P Alfonso Munoz. With 1 out, he plunks Arturo Martinez. With 2 outs, Charlie Reshard singles and Munoz scores. 1 to 0, Phillies.

Top of the 4th: Rick Lewis draws another lead-off walk. After two strike outs, the pitcher is up and we are thinking maybe, P Pete Reilly can strike out the side, buy P Alfonso Munoz hits a 2-2 to left for a hit and Lewis goes to 3rd. Tom Scott singles to right, scoring Lewis, but P Munoz tries to take 3rd, but RF Jerry Alston shoots him down to end the inning. 2 to 0, Phillies.

Bottom of the 5th: With 1 out, Ron Charles draws a walk and Rick Ferrell sends him to 2rd with a little poke hit to right. Ferrell is then thrown out trying to steal. Jerry Alston walks to bring up the pitcher's spot. Since, P Pete Reilly is already over 100 pitches in 5 innings, we send up a Pinch-Hitter: RHB Rickey Clayton, who, in truth, is probably not as good a hitter as Reilly.... He take a 3-2 pitch for ball four to load the bases with 2 outs. Frank Wiginton draws a walk! 2 to 1, Phillies. Jim Eighmy grounds out to short to end the inning.

Bottom of the 6th: Scott Setta reaches on an error by their shortstop, Tom Scott. E-6. He goes to 2nd on a ground out and to 3rd on a hit by Joe Hartin. Ron Charles send one to center and Rick Lewis makes a diving catch to rob him of a hit, but Setta trots home with the tying run. 2 to 2. 2 outs. Rick Ferrell reaches on an error by 3B Dario Torres (E-5) and the Jerry Alston doubles to center to score Hartin! 3 to 2, Beavers! Pinch-Hitter: RHB Masanori Ishii. He gets and intentional walk. New pitcher: RHP Bobby Duarte. Frank Wiginton up and Duarte throws a wild pitch! Ferrell scores! 4 to 2, Beavers! Now the give Wiginton a free pass. Sure! Walk everybody! I'm okay with that! Pinch-Hitter: LHB Ernesto Gonzelez. Full count and he takes strike three.... the ball was a foot outside....

Top of the 9th: On the Hill: RHP Ron Beckman, beginning his third inning of work, but he has only thrown 15 pitches. Dario Torres leads off with a liner over the shortstop for a hit. Tying run comes to the plate.... Pinch-hitter: LHB Tim Rasmussen. .321 with 2 HR in 28 AB. He grounds one to the hole on the right side and Fred Pariseau makes a diving stop and throws him out at 1st! Awesome play! 1 out. Runner on 2nd, but he does not matter. Pinch-hitter: RHB Tim Reigle. 4 for 11 (.364). He flies out to right. 2 outs. He smacks a grounder over the first base bag for a double.... 4 to 3, Beavers and the tying run is in scoring position. My lefties are not rested, so it's up to Beckman.... Arturo Martinez strikes out!!! ....and THIS Ballgame Belongs to the Beavers!
