Key moments: Down 1-0, the Phillies grabbed the lead in the top of the third inning against St. Louis starter Michael Wacha. Obudel Herrera led off the inning with a walk and reached third on a Starlin Castro single. J.P. Crawford plated Herrera with a double, which landed Castro at third. Dylan Couzens chased Castro home with a sacrifice fly. A two-run homer by Crawford off Wacha in the seventh accounted for the remainder of the scoring.
Player of the game: Phillies starting pitcher Jared Eickhoff pitched eight innings allowing one run on six hits. He struck out six and walked none.
