If a player traded to the Yankees refused to shave could he be suspended without pay indefinitely? It seems weird when compared to the definitive (lesser?) punishments for breaking other rules.

I believe it's part of the contract but I'm not sure how it's enforced for recently traded players.
I always assumed that because the Yankees have been a winning team, anyone traded there during the last several years shaves to not disrupt chemistry.
