GM Notes:
This is pretty crazy. We are 3 games out with 7 days to go. I don't think we will make the playoffs, but finishing over .500 is a real possibility! Right now that is what I am excited about. We choked last week losing 2 of 3 to the Beacons. That could be the difference between us celebrating and going home, but we are getting closer... The problem about being this close? Well it makes dealing Sanchez, Oulton and Villalobos during the off season...

My first ever #1 pick in Chadds Ford was Dragoljub "The Dragon" Karadzic. He isn't going to be "star" I thought he was going to be the star I was expecting him to be, but he will be a handy defensive back-up for my infielders. Karadzic started 54 games this season, playing in 57. He is hitting .277-8-33. I really thought he was going to be a star, but I am pleased he will be a viable big leaguer for a few years to come.

One more week, seven more games and then the season is over and we celebrate the best season ever in Chadds Ford. That is something to be proud of. That being said one of Corbin's (the owner) long term goal was for us to be in the playoffs by 2034... well we are going to be close, but most likely not making. So I am not sure if that means my job will be in jeopardy or not. I guess we will see.

I am hoping for 2 more years in Chadds Ford. I believe in 2 years we can actually pull off a playoff birth. Obviously the end goal will be to win it all, but for now I will take a playoff birth. If we can get the attendance up 10K then we can actually get some budget dollars and make something of this team... I just have to hope Corbin keeps me around.

This off-season will be different than most of our others. We actually should have trading blocks, playeres that are worth something in a deal! Sanchez, Outlon, Villalobos! Cut big salary, make our team better. The one thing I am not positive about is, if we can do it with a bunch of minimum salary players... I guess we will find out if Mike Quinn, Tony Cox, Eric Harmon and Tadasuke Uenohara are up to the task.

Now lets just finish this season up on a hot note!

Standings Leaders
DE Colonial: Milford Clippers: 107-48 (+33.0, Clinched)
DE Northern: Newark Millers: 82-73 (+3.0, M#5)
DE Atlantic: Lewes Braves: 100-55 (+7.0, M#1)
WC: Milton Brewers (DCA): 93-62 (+14.0, Clinched)

DC: The Millers are battling the Cannons, who just swept them last week, for the final playoff slot. Both teams finish the season against divisional rivals the Blue Hens and the Iron Pigs. The spot is the Millers to lose, but they have continued to collapse as the season has gone on: July: 10-15, August: 11-17, September: 8-14... They have a 88.9% change to keep the Cannons at bay.

MV Beltway: Annapolis Admirals: 95-60 (+7.0, M#1, clinched playoff birth)
MV Mountain: Richmond Cardinals: 91-58 (+19.0, Clinched)
MV Coastal: Norfolk Cavaliers: 97-52 (+16.0, Clinched)
WC: Washington Senators (MCB): 88-67 (+5.0, M#3)

MC: The races in the MC are just about done. The Senators play the Admirals three 3 times then finish the season off against the woeful Ports, while hte Tourists go up against the Cavaliers and the Surf Dawgs. And the Barons are trying to hold on take on the Ports and Admirals. The Senators have a 99.2% chance to bring the playoffs home.

Players of the Week:
Delaware: Shawn Wilson, Milford Clippers: 10-23, 3 HR's, 5 RBI's
MarVa: Ray Nikkola, Salisbury Ports: 12-19, 4 HR's, 9 RBI's, 7 R's

2) Norfolk Cavaliers (127.5)
3) Lewes Braves (125.1)
4) Milton Brewers (109.0)
5) Annapolis Admirals (108.3)

News:
Annapolis Admirals: Top rookie Allan Cameron had his season shut-down after breaking his hand. Cameron finishes his rookie season hitting .252-4-32.
Baltimore Barons: Will be without OF Rafael Estrada, their 20-year-old star for a few more days. Estrada is hitting .288-3-65 during his first full-season.
