You may be doing some of them too often. Pinch hitters, for instance, tend to underperform. It's best to save them for situations in which a hit or walk is vital
and the pinch hitter is clearly better at bat than the man he replaces.
As for "pitch to contact", that's a tactic that should be used rarely - and not at all if your defense isn't first rate.
